Held Over Through April 23

The New Vic Theatre is proud to reprise one of our audience’s favorite comedy revues.

Parallel Lives, created by Mo Gaffney and Kathy Najimy, is a challenging play made up of hilarious scenes performed by two women.

The play begins with two Supreme Beings planning the beginning of the world.

From this moment on, the audience is whisked through the outrageous universe of Kathy and Mo, where two actresses play men and women struggling through the common rituals of modern life: teenagers on a date, sisters at their grandmother’s funeral, widows attending college, bar patrons, and more.

With boundless humor, Parallel Lives reexamines the ongoing quest to find parity and love in a contesthandicapped by capricious gods – or in this case, goddesses.

“…a romp with a feminist sensibility; it’s a humor for a post-Lily Tomlin generation…above all, Parallel Lives is a smart, provocative show.”

– Variety
